Character Design - Week 2

For Character Design class; we've got to redesign characters from a Miyazaki film of our choice, of which I chose Spirited Away!

I haven't updated in forever! So here it is. :)

So these are some of the drawings I did for DP. I cleaned them up as much as possible...I definitely know what I need to work on (cough cough, keeping them clean!), and seeing these again has given me a clear vision of what I want my work to look like by next term.

The first one was done week 2; the rest up 'til the characters were done week 5, and the last bit was week 11+12 ( I think, I forgot ).

The first one was early on, the second one is the end result. I'm still learning!

The grandmama is supposed to be the rider of my beaver creature (which still needs to be posted; it's got a rather retarded saddle). Anyway, I really liked the obese cat, so I posted it (and it's not that he's really obese, since he went on a diet and all...it's that he's got that extra yard of skin that he can't get rid of...so...).

Edit: I swear I thought I cleaned these sketches up @ the lab. Now that I'm on a different monitor, I see that that's not the case. Darnit.
